When I was in the store today I came across the Library of America edition of Poe’s stories. I was going to purchase it because the LoA puts out a fine book. I have their Lovecraft TALES and I figured it would be nice to have in my collection authors in the LoA series that touched on horror elements.

I ended up not picking up the Poe volume since I might be able to save some money buy ordering it from Barnes and Noble. Which I can. But it led me to the LoA website since I wanted to see what other authors I might want to pick up. I would love to have all the volumes in the series but right now they are standing at 160 or so books. Too much right now for me to hunt down.

But the Library of America is coming out with a Philip K. Dick collection. Which is really cool. I’m not a huge fan of Dick. Some of his prose isn’t the greatest but his influence in the SF world cannot be disputed.
